Mother's Day?

Mother's Day was last week, last Sunday. And I celebrated with my mother. And the holiday won't return until next year.

And today, Cody said he'd make breakfast for me for "mother's day." No, no, NO I'm not pregnant and I'm not the mother to his children. He just wanted to celebrate mother's day a week late in my honor - just because. This after I said to him LAST week that he should wish "the mother of his future kids" a happy day, to which he stated that I wasn't pregnant and I wasn't a mother.

But today he had a change of heart, hence a yummy breakfast of delicious scrambled eggs and french toast.

Cody starts a prayer on the food...

"Dear Heavenly Father -

We are grateful for the food that's before us and for this mother's day celebration in honor of Robin..."

SO RANDOM!!!!!!

But I'll let him celebrate me any day he wants and for whatever reason he chooses.

Alisal Ranch!!!

Our first leg of our vacation we just returned from was spent in Salvang, CA (kind of close to Santa Barbara). I love the beauty that is Salvang! We stayed at Alisal Ranch...with my extended family and had a blast. Enjoy the photos.

The piano horns are an Alisal "special celebration" tradition. We played the traditional wedding march.

We're back!!!

We've been on the road for 3 weeks! We went to Alisal Ranch in Salvang, CA with my extended family for a week. We then spent some time in CA getting some neccessary errand done.

Then it was off to Logan, UT to spend some time with Cody's family. We had a ball playing games, eating too much, and laughing - laughing - laughing.

Then we headed down to Salt Lake City for my brother Tanner's graduation from the U of U and his wedding to Margot in the SLC Temple!!!

We have lots of pictures coming. But now I've got to go correct a violation for not having a banner's permit.

Conway - my new town!

Here are some pictures from around town. You may of heard of Conway on American Idol since Kris Allen, last year's winner, is from here. Conway has a very cute, old-school downtown and has beautiful college campus'.























We also have a modern Conway (the last two are of the location of our store).




We have two super Walmarts (Walmart was born in Arkansas), FIVE Sonic's, a billion banks and churches, but only one high school for all of Conway.

We have three college campus'.

We have a great selection of restaurants. Enough trees and spring color to make me happy.

And least I forget one of my favorite parts - the curbs. After popping two tires on a California curb this past fall, I really appreciate my new town for having the best curbs in the world: curved and so forgiving to drivers.


I have more nature to explore. There is Lake Conway and other close sites to discover. All in all, Conway's been good to me...but i keep hearing, "just you wait till summer - you are going to die!" (and that is being said by the people who want me to love it here). I guess everyone wants me to be forwarned so I won't be blindsided and won't complain too much when the heat and humidity arrive. But I'll probably complain just the same.
