Conway - my new town!

Here are some pictures from around town. You may of heard of Conway on American Idol since Kris Allen, last year's winner, is from here. Conway has a very cute, old-school downtown and has beautiful college campus'.

We also have a modern Conway (the last two are of the location of our store).

We have two super Walmarts (Walmart was born in Arkansas), FIVE Sonic's, a billion banks and churches, but only one high school for all of Conway.

We have three college campus'.

1. Central Baptist College (CBC)

2. University of Central Arkansas (UCA)

3. Hendrix College (Hendrix)

A lovely running path.

We have a great selection of restaurants. Enough trees and spring color to make me happy.

And least I forget one of my favorite parts - the curbs. After popping two tires on a California curb this past fall, I really appreciate my new town for having the best curbs in the world: curved and so forgiving to drivers.

I have more nature to explore. There is Lake Conway and other close sites to discover. All in all, Conway's been good to me...but i keep hearing, "just you wait till summer - you are going to die!" (and that is being said by the people who want me to love it here). I guess everyone wants me to be forwarned so I won't be blindsided and won't complain too much when the heat and humidity arrive. But I'll probably complain just the same.

Free Advertising!

So, ever since we have put up our banner...we've received visitors at the store (vendors, sales reps, future customers, etc.). We never knew the banner would become such a great hit.

Well...

Sunday morning, we received a text from Cody's brother Clint saying we made the business section of the paper. The banner cost money, sure, but the article was as free as air (and not even solicited). We emailed the lady who wrote the little snippet and hopefully, we'll get more free advertising soon.

It's becoming official!!

Bonnie and Bunny Day

Bonnie Day:

My husband was calling me Bonnie Raitt today. I didn't get it. He then showed me the streak of paint in my hair. I guess I was "giving him something to talk about...".

Bunny Day:

We had a very mellow Easter this year. We sat around and watched General Conference. We dyed Easter eggs. We cooked a special dinner. I missed having Easter with my family, but at least Cody's dad is still here staying with us, helping us with the store. So it wasn't just Cody and me, but it still was a mellow, insanely small Easter.

Dying eggs

Dinner: Apricot Chicken, Balsamic Asparagus, Jackie's Potatoes (Cody made this dish), Salad, Butter Rolls, Deviled Eggs, and Carrot Cake. It was yummy and very, very filling.
