I'm back posting...all the way back to April.
As many of you know, Cody and I didn't find out the gender of our baby at the traditional 20 week ultrasound. We waited, and waited, and waited. And people were bugged, confused, and annoyed at our waiting. But then the time arrived when we didn't want to wait any longer. We lasted 2.5 months with the concealed envelope containing our baby's gender ultrasound picture before we opened it in April.
The way we announced the gender to grandma and grandpa Orvin was this: sending these cute bottles and instructions in the mail.
The way we announced the gender to grammy and bop Bendheim was this: gifting these frames to my mother on her birthday (with the information inside).
My mother instantly started calling our baby girl Orvina because we didn't have Alivia's name until she was born.
We were shocked when we opened the envelope because for so long we were convinced we were having a boy. It was an adjustment to begin to think of this baby as a girl. My reaction was the typical hormonal tears. We love our baby girl!
